As the year comes to a close, I’m thinking back on the amazing journey I’ve been on over the last twelve months. From snowy landscapes to sun-drenched beaches, each destination offers unique experiences and treasured memories. The solo trips were amazing and group travels with family and friends were fantastic that I looked forward to making more memories.
Hans Christian Andersen said, “To travel is to live.” We all need to see the world, and you can join the adventure in 2025 as we explore the world with Jelarmmy Travels.
Here is a recap of the places I was able to visit and explore this year
Have Fun with me
January: Puerto Rico’s Vibrant Warmth
Boricua has been on my bucket list, and it would only be fun to tick it off in the first month of the year. The year began with a tropical escape to Puerto Rico. San Juan welcomed me with its colorful architecture and cobblestone streets. I visited Mofongo and walked the historic fortifications of El Morro. El Yunque National Forest was a highlight—hiking through lush greenery to reach cascading waterfalls felt like stepping into another world. Puerto Rico’s charm set the tone for a year of adventure.
February: Chasing the Northern Lights in Iceland
February brought me to Iceland, where I experienced both tropical warmth and icy wonders. My starting point for visiting geysers, glaciers, and volcanic landscapes was Reykjavik. The dreamy dance of the northern lights in the night sky was far more spectacular than the Golden Circle. It was an incredible and unforgettable experience to soak in the Blue Lagoon as snowflakes fell all around me.
March: A California Capital Escape
The month of March was for California to enjoy the spring of Sacramento. I explored the historic Old Sacramento Waterfront, enjoyed the farm-to-table dining, and journeyed through the California State Capitol Museum. The relaxed pace and local charm offered a refreshing change of scenery.
May: Quaint Serenity in Verona, Wisconsin
May brought me to Verona, a charming town nestled in Wisconsin’s rolling hills. Known as “Hometown USA,” Verona exuded warmth and hospitality. I explored the Ice Age National Scenic Trail and enjoyed local craft beers. It was a perfect blend of natural beauty and small-town charm.
June: Caribbean Bliss in St. Lucia
June swept me away to the breathtaking island of St. Lucia. The iconic Pitons framed every view, and I indulged in snorkeling adventures and luxurious beachside relaxation. A visit to the Sulphur Springs, the world’s only drive-in volcano, added a dash of adventure. St. Lucia’s beauty was matched only by its warm and welcoming people.
July: Sunshine and Sand in Destin, Florida
July was all about the Emerald Coast in Destin, Florida, and it was made even more special as a group trip with family and friends. Pristine white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters made it an idyllic summer getaway. Together, we enjoyed paddleboarding, deep-sea fishing, and sunset walks along the shoreline. Destin’s seafood scene, especially its fresh Gulf shrimp, was an absolute treat. Sharing these experiences with loved ones created memories that will last a lifetime.
August: Expansive Beauty in Canada
I traveled to Canada, a country with diverse cultures and expansive landscapes, in August. Every destination, from the majesty of Alberta’s Rocky Mountains to Toronto’s urban charm, had something unique to offer. Enjoying poutine and maple treats was a highlight, as was visiting Niagara Falls.
October: The Bahamas’ Tropical Paradise
October brought me back to the tropics with a visit to The Bahamas. Nassau’s vibrant markets and turquoise waters stole my heart. I explored underwater caves while snorkeling and sailed to secluded islands. The island’s relaxed pace was the perfect antidote to the year’s hustle and bustle.
Conclusion
As I reflect on 2024, I’m filled with gratitude for the opportunity to experience such incredible places. Each destination offered a new perspective and reinforced my love for exploring our beautiful world. Here’s to more adventures in the coming year!.
Cheers!!!
